  • Here are some European Portuguese Phrases To Know if you're planning on visiting Portugal.
  • Whether you’re moving to Portugal or just visiting the country, learning these useful phrases has many advantages.
  • In European Portuguese, you would use: Bom Dia, which is Portuguese for Good Morning
  • Repeat the phrases after each example
  • Here it is again

  • You would use this earlier in the day. Then, after lunch you'll switch to:
  • Boa Tarde
  • Good afternoon

  • In the evening or at nighttime
  • Boa Noite
  • Here is a simple greeting you can use when you first arrive somewhere. Or if you want to greet someone. It’s the Portuguese word for Hello. So it’s not related to a specific time of day and it’s one you’ll repeat time and time again
